Firefighters Monday knocked down a fire in one unit at a boarded-up apartment building in South Los Angeles, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 11:41 a.m. Monday to 5710 S. Figueroa St. had the blaze out within 13 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
No occupants were found and no injuries were reported, officials said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. Building and Safety personnel were dispatched to the location to assess potential structural compromise of the apartment building.
