A man teaching a teenage relative how to drive in a grocery store parking lot died when the car plunged over a barrier Monday.
At arou. Monday, police responded to a collision on the Coast (1) Highway between Wesley and Montage Resort drives, according to the Laguna Beach Police Department.
Preliminary investigation found the teenage driver with a permit traveled from the upper parking lot of Gelson’s Market, breached a fence barrier, and continued down an embankment before coming to rest on the highway.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene and the driver was transported to a local hospital, accoeding to the LBPD.
