One person was killed in a freeway crash in the Gardena area Tuesday, prompting a full closure of the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash was reported at 11:35 a.m., just south of the Artesia (91) Freeway.
An officer reported that a body had been ejected onto the roadway.
The crash and subsequent investigation forced the closure of all northbound lanes of the 110 Freeway in the area, with traffic diverted onto the eastbound 91 Freeway. A SigAlert was issued just after noon for the full lane closure.
Details about how the crash occurred were not immediately available, and it was unclear whether more than one vehicle was involved.
The age and gender of the victim were not been released.
