A 21-year-old man who was killed in a single-vehicle crash in South Los Angeles was publicly identified Wednesday.
Jefferson Romero was in a vehicle that slammed into several parked cars just after 7 a.m. Tuesday on Vernon Avenue near McKinley Avenue, according to police and the county medical examiner’s office.
Fire department personnel responded but could not save him, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Kevin Terzes said.
An investigation temporarily closed Vernon between McKinley and Wadsworth avenues.
