A man who died in a freeway crash in the Gardena area was identified by the county medical examiner’s office Wednesday.
Antonio Torres, 30, whose place of residence was not disclosed, died in the crash.
Torres was reported to have been ejected from a vehicle and died at the scene of the crash, around 11:35 a.m. Tuesday on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway just south of the Artesia (91) Freeway.
The crash and subsequent investigation forced the closure of all northbound lanes of the 110 Freeway in the area, with traffic diverted onto the eastbound 91 Freeway. A SigAlert was issued just after noon for the full closure.
Details about how the crash occurred were not immediately available, and it was unclear whether more than one vehicle was involved.
It was also unclear if Torres had been wearing a seat belt.
