A man who went missing overnight while fishing between Dana Point and Catalina Island was found safe Wednesday.
According to the Coast Guard, the 41-year-old man was reported overdue at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. Few other details were released, with officials saying only the man was “known to be fishing between Dana Point and Catalina Island aboard an 18-foot boat.”
Early Wednesday afternoon, the Coast Guard announced the man had been found safe near Avalon Beach.
