Police sought the public’s assistance Thursday in locating two men wanted for the armed robbery of a Culver City business.
Officers responded to the robbery around 5:15 a.m. last Friday to the 5800 block of Washington Boulevard, according to the Culver City Police Department.
Police said two men entered the business and began walking behind the counter, where one of the suspects allegedly removed a black semiautomatic pistol from his jacket and pointed it at an employee, demanding the worker open the cash register.
The suspect removed about $150 from the register, while the second suspect allegedly robbed a customer of about $40.
Both suspects fled the scene, exiting through the front door of the business and running westbound toward La Cienega Boulevard.
“An extensive search of the area was conducted, and the suspects were not located,” police said in a statement.
Detectives described the first suspect as a 5-foot-7-inch-tall man between 30 and 40 years old, who was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
The second suspect was identified as a 5-foot-8-inch-tall man, also 30-40 years old, who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black and white shoes, and a black hat with “LA” lettering.
Anyone with information regarding the armed robbery was urged to contact the Culver City Police Department at 310-253-6202.
