The county medical examiner’s office Friday released the name of a 60-year-old woman who was killed in a fatal two-vehicle collision in Acton.
Wendy Stinson, a resident of Acton, died in the crash at about 4:35 p.m. Wednesday on Crown Valley Parkway at Country Way, according to the CHP.
The preliminary investigation revealed Stinson was a passenger in a 1994 Ford being driven west on Country Way by 67-year-old Richard Allen Lewis, also of Acton.
“For reasons still under investigation,” the Ford collided with a 2005 Toyota being driven north on Crown Valley Parkway by 61-year-old Robert C. Gibilterra of Agua Dulce, and both vehicles overturned, according to CHP Officer D. Aldrete.
Stinson suffered fatal injuries. A CHP report indicated she was not wearing a seat belt.
Both drivers were taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries said to be minor, according to the CHP.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected as factors in the crash.
