A teenage boy was gravely injured Wednesday when he was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Campbell Hall school in Studio City.

Firefighters responded to the school in the 4500 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard around 3:10 p.m. and found the gravely injured teen in the parking lot, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

The victim was taken to the hospital, along with his uninjured father, Humphrey said.

Another teenage boy, who is not believed to be related to the other victim, later reported unspecified minor injuries following the collision, Humphrey said. He was evaluated at the scene but was not taken to a hospital.

“The Mayor’s Crisis Response Team is en route to offer emotional support and recovery assistance to relatives and witnesses at the scene,” Humphrey said.

There were no reports of other injuries.

Video from the scene showed what appeared to be three vehicles that had collided in the parking lot, and a canopy was erected in the space between two of the vehicles.

The scene was being investigated Wednesday afternoon by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
