Authorities sought the public’s help Monday in locating a 15-year-old girl last seen in Inglewood, prompting the activation of an Ebony Alert.
The California Highway Patrol issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Heaven Shelton was last seen around 9 a.m. Saturday near Inglewood Boulevard and Sylvester Street, according to the CHP.
She was described as 5 feet 11 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a purple hoodie, green sweatpants and black shoes.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts was urged to call 911.
Ebony Alerts are issued to help locate missing Black children, teenagers and young adults ages 12 to 25 who have disappeared under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, or who are at risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired, or abducted.
