A fiery three-car crash shut down all lanes of a busy freeway near El Monte as Thursday morning’s commute was underway.
The crash was reported at 7:54 a.m. Thursday on the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway at Valley Boulevard.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the wreck, but it was unclear if anyone was treated or transported to a hospital.
Two lanes were reopened around 8:30 a.m., but the SigAlert remained in effect and traffic was backed up to Whittier Boulevard.
All lanes were reopened by 9:21.
