A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving, felony evading and outstanding arrest warrants in Cabazon, authorities said Thursday.
Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Main and Fern streets, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
According to Sgt. Juan Cedeno, a white 2003 Ford pickup truck failed to yield at the intersection and subsequently fled the scene.
A vehicle pursuit ensued as the pickup entered eastbound Interstate 10 toward Palm Springs.
The pursuit ended in the 1100 block of North Indian Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, said Cedeno. It was unclear how the chase ended.
Trevor Alexander Berry of Coachella was taken into custody without incident.
He was booked into the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, and was being held without bail.
Anyone with information was urged to contact Deputy Browen at Cabazon Sheriff’s Station at 951-922-7100.
