A 54-year-old man fatally shot in South Los Angeles in what police said they believe was a gang-related incident was identified Thursday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 10 p.m. last Friday to 73rd Street and Broadway regarding a shots fired call, LAPD Officer Drake Madison told City News Service.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshots wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The victim was identified Thursday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Corey Shaw.
There was no suspect description.
