Police Thursday were seeking a suspect who knocked a student on a bicycle unconscious on the UCLA campus before stealing the victim’s phone.
The victim was riding past an engineering building around 12:10 a.m. Thursday when the suspect knocked off the person’s hat and struck the person in the face, according to campus police. The bicyclist briefly lost consciousness and was robbed of a cell phone.
The victim, a description of whom was unavailable, was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The suspect, a male of unspecified age, was described as 5, feet 6 inches tall and wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
Anyone with information that could aid the investigation was urged to call campus police at 310-825-1492.
