A man who was shot to death in Lancaster was publicly identified Monday.
The shooting occurred about 9:25 p.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of East Avenue J-8, west of 22nd Street East, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He was identified as 18-year-old Gabriel Villa by the Medical Examiner’s office.
