A judge has denied a bid by attorneys for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s production company to dismiss the entity from a lawsuit filed by a man who alleges he was injured in a 2020 automobile crash in Brentwood involving one of the actor’s sons.

On Monday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lisa R. Jaskol ruled that Oak Production Inc. will remain a defendant in the suit brought by plaintiff Gad Kakanyisa that also names as defendants the 77-year-old actor and his son, 27-year-old Christopher Schwarzenegger.

In their court papers, Oak Production attorneys contended that “no reasonable possibility exists” that Oak owned or operated the car that struck Kakanyisa, and so the company owed to obligation to the plaintiff.

According to the lawsuit filed in November 2020, the accident occurred at Carmelina Avenue and Sunset Boulevard when Christopher Schwarzenegger’s vehicle collided two cars, including that of the 54-year-old Kakanyisa, who contends he was seriously injured.
