Police sought the public’s assistance Tuesday in locating a man suspected of two motorcycle thefts last month.

The initial heist occurred around 2:50 a.m. May 12 when the suspect entered a secured parking garage at an apartment complex in the 11000 block of Mississippi Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers responded around 10:50 a.m. May 18 to a second report of a suspect entering a secure parking garage at an apartment complex in the 10000 block of Rochester Avenue and stealing a motorcycle.

Investigators described the suspect connected to both thefts as a 6-foot-tall man between 30-40 years old, weighing 190 pounds. He was most recently seen wearing a black motorcycle helmet, a tan and black jacket with black stripes on the sleeves, camouflage shorts, black pants, shoes, and gloves.

Police said that the suspect was also observed at an unspecified time wearing a blue and gray Jansport Goshawk 40L hiking backpack.
