Authorities sought the public’s assistance Tuesday in locating an at-risk 67-year-old woman last seen in Wilmington, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert.

The California Highway Patrol activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Rosa Muratalla was last seen on Monday near Sanford Avenue and East L Street at around 6 a.m., according to authorities.

Muratalla was described as a 4-foot-11-inch tall woman with brown hair and eyes. It was unclear what she was wearing when last seen.

Anyone with information about Muratalla’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
