Sheriff’s detectives Friday are investigating a shooting in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood of South Los Angeles that left one person dead, a second victim wounded and two suspects at large.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded at 11:41 a.m. Thursday to the intersection of Compton Avenue and East 92nd Street regarding reports of a shooting. Both victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds, and one was pronounced dead at the scene, NBC4 reported.
The second victim was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
Fox11 reported the victims were approached by the suspects when an argument began and the suspects shot the victims and fled.
KFI 640 and Fox11 reported the shooting could have been part of a carjacking and robbery.
There was no suspect description.
