Police were investigating a woman’s shooting in Long Beach, authorities said Saturday.
Officers were dispatched at about 11:55 p.m. Thursday to a hospital, where the woman was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
She told officers she was shot in the area of 68th Street and Long Beach Boulevard, and self-transported to a hospital.
“Officers canvassed the area described but were unable to locate a crime scene,” according to a police statement. “The motive, circumstances of the shooting, and suspect information are under investigation.”
