A suspect who police say stabbed at least three people in the Westlake District is on the loose Thursday.

The first stabbing occurred around 1:28 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Sixth and Bonnie Brae streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The victim suffered a severe laceration to the neck.

Shortly after the first stabbing was reported, a second victim was attacked at 427 Bonnie Brae St., between Fourth and Fifth streets. That victim sustained multiple stab wounds to the chest, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.

While LAPD officers from the department’s Rampart Division were investigating the second stabbing, a third attack occurred at 308 Bonnie Brae St., between Third and Fourth streets.

All three men were taken to hospitals by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel in critical condition, police said. Fox 11 reported one man suffered a deep gash to the throat.

According to reports from the scene, police say the suspect could be a “serial stabber.”

There was no suspect description.
