It took 40 firefighters 25 minutes Saturday to put out a fire that started outside two homes in the Valley Glen neighborhood of Los Angeles and threatened the structures.
The fire was reported at 2:26 p.m. Saturday in the 13900 block of West Calvert Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart.
There was concern the flames would spread inside the homes, but firefighters limited damage to the homes’ exteriors, Stewart said.
No injuries were reported.
