Sheriff’s detectives asked the public for help locating a 74-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s disease who went missing from Lancaster Saturday.
Maria Elena “Nena” Rico was last seen about 11 a.m. Saturday in the 42900 block of Summer Lane, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Rico is Hispanic, 5 feet tall, 180 pounds with short brown-and-white curly hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue nightgown.
Her family is concerned for her well-being because of her cognitive issues and a need for daily medication, detectives said.
