A motorcyclist allegedly performing a stunt collided with a tree and died in Gardena Sunday.
Around 5:50 p.m. Sunday, Gardena Police Department officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Marine Avenue near the Harbor (110) Freeway.
Officers located the unresponsive man on the sidewalk and the paramedics pronounced the man deceased.
According to GPD’s preliminary investigation, “The motorcyclist lost control while performing a wheelie and struck a tree.”
The identity of the man was being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. It was unclear how old he was.
