Authorities sought the public’s help Wednesday in locating a 77-year-old man last seen in the Baldwin Village area, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert.
The California Highway Patrol activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Marvin Desvigne was last seen Tuesday near South Murifield Road and Santa Rosalia Drive at approximately 1:20 p.m., according to the CHP.
Desvigne was described as a 5-foot-8-inch-tall man weighing 140 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, black jeans and gray shoes.
Anyone with information regarding Desvigne’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
