A man was fatally shot Thursday in an unincorporated area of Vermont-Vista, and police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Homicide detectives responded around 10:50 a.m. to the 1200 block of West 97th Street for a death investigation involving a shooting victim, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting, and no suspect description was available.
The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
