Four Perris residents were arrested on suspicion of burglary and petty theft among other offenses during a retail theft operation in Perris, authorities announced Friday.

Deputies conducted the operation Thursday in the 3100 block of Case Road, according to sheriff’s Sgt. David Ruiz.

“The operation was designed to proactively address retail theft and ensure the safety and well-being of both businesses and shoppers in the area,” Ruiz said in a statement.

During the operation:

— Miguel Corona, 40, was arrested on suspicion of petty theft with priors;

— Edward Bryant, 58, was arrested on suspicion of probation violation and petty theft;

— Edgar Reyes, 38, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft; and

— Miguel Fuente, 43, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Bryant was being held without bail. Information on the status of the other three was not immediately available.
