The body of a young boy, possibly 3 or 4 years old, was discovered Saturday in Panorama City.
Officers were dispatched to the 8200 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, just south of Roscoe Boulevard, about 7 a.m. Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
Broadcast reports indicated the child was found inside a trash bin.
Detectives from the LAPD’s Child Abuse Unit were assigned the investigation, according to Officer Kevin Terzes, who said they released limited public information to preserve the integrity of the case.
