Firefighters Saturday were investigating a report of an explosion from a basement-level electrical panel in a five-story vacant commercial building in Koreatown, authorities said.
Firefighters were dispatched at 10:03 a.m. Saturday to 3240 W. Wilshire Blvd., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Firefighters are standing by with handlines in place, but will not apply water until DWP ensures all power to the building is shut down,” the LAFD’s Lyndsey Lantz said. “There is no active fire at this time, and no injuries reported.”
