A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday in an apparent solo vehicle crash on Angeles Crest Highway near the Chilao Visitor Center.
The crash was reported at 12:07 p.m. Saturday near the Devil’s Canyon Trailhead, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A witness told the CHP that the victim was on the right shoulder with a major injury.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said. He was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office as Alexander Cox.
The CHP issued a Sigalert at about 1:35 p.m. shutting down northbound and southbound lanes at Mile Marker 50 for the crash investigation.
