One man was arrested Saturday after a multi-vehicle collision that left another man trapped inside one a vehicle on the San Diego (405) Freeway near Westchester.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the southbound freeway, just south of Jefferson Boulevard, at 3:31 a.m. Saturday where they found a black Toyota Prius, a gray Lexus and a Ford Explorer had all collided, CHP Officer Erik Larsen told City News Service
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene and freed the driver of the Ford Explorer, who was injured in the collision and taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
According to reports from the scene, a man who was driving one of the sedans was arrested after authorities said he rear-ended the Explorer.
The CHP issued a SigAlert closing all lanes of the southbound freeway up to the westbound Marina (90) Freeway for approximately 30 minutes.
