Firefighters put out a small brush fire Saturday in the Westchester area of Los Angeles.
The fire in mixed brush and grass was reported in the 7100 block of Westchester Parkway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Lyndsey Lantz.
It burned about one-eighth of an acre at a slow rate of speed and two engines with eight firefighters quickly stopped forward progress, Lantz said.
No injuries were reported and the cause was undetermined, she said. Firefighters planned to remain on the scene making sure all hot spots were out.
