Authorities sought the public’s assistance Thursday in locating a 72-year-old woman last seen near the Sepulveda Basin, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert.

The California Highway Patrol activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Karen Page was last seen around 10 p.m. June 29 near Magnolia and Sepulveda boulevards, according to the CHP.

Page was described as a 5-foot-8-inch-tall woman weighing 150 pounds, with grayish-brown hair and green eyes.

It was unclear what she was wearing when she was last seen.

Anyone with information regarding Page’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
