A 22-year-old man was awaiting arraignment — possibly as early as Thursday — following his arrest in the shooting deaths of a former “American Idol” music supervisor and her husband inside the couple’s upscale Encino home.
The bodies were found about 2:30 p.m. Monday in the 4700 block of White Oak Place, south of Ventura Boulevard, during a welfare check prompted by a call from an acquaintance who had not heard from the couple in several days, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The victims were found inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds.
The couple was identified as “American Idol” music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, both 70.
An “American Idol” representative confirmed the deaths in a statement, saying “We are devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom’s, passing. Robin has been a cornerstone of the `Idol’ family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time.”
On Tuesday afternoon, the LAPD confirmed the arrest of 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian of Encino. He is suspected of killing the pair last Thursday, when the couple returned home and discovered the intruder inside. Police said they identified Boodarian through the use of surveillance video from the couple’s home.
A neighbor told reporters Tuesday morning that a renter at her property called 911 last Thursday after seeing somebody jump over the fence around the home.
According to NBC4, Kaye had contacted the Bodyguard Group, a Beverly Hills private security company, at some point in the weeks before the killings.
“She felt threatened by somebody because of somebody around their home or around their neighborhood who felt suspicious,” the firm’s owner, Kris Herzog, told the station.
It was unclear whether the couple’s home had been targeted prior to the fatal incident.
Detectives suspect that Boodarian burglarized the house while the couple was away on July 10 and stayed for about 30 minutes before they returned and found him.
According to the LAPD, officers responded around 4 p.m. Thursday to the home, but found no immediate signs of an intruder or a burglary.
Police said Tuesday that surveillance video suggests the suspect entered the residence through an unlocked door, and the victims returned home and found the intruder inside.
“A violent struggle ensued between them and the suspect,” LAPD homicide investigator Lt. Guy Golan said.
LAPD officials said an investigation would be conducted into the initial response to the home last week and why officers did not detect an intruder.
Meanwhile, Boodarian remained jailed without bail at the Inmate Reception Center in downtown Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department inmate records.
As music supervisor, Kaye was responsible for securing licensing for songs performed by contestants on “American Idol.”
“Robin was a joy to work with,” former “Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told The Hollywood Reporter. “If there was a piece of music that she couldn’t get permission to use she would have numerous other ideas to offer the contestant.”
Former executive producer Ken Warwick echoed Lythgoe’s praise.
“Robin was a pleasure to work with,” Warwick told THR. “She always kept a cool head in a job that was difficult and manic. She never ceased to deliver and no matter what the stress of a weekly live television show, and she always had a friendly and pleasant demeanor. My heart goes out to her family, she will be truly missed.”
This is the same convict law enforcement that kept going to the house repeatedly now if you check his fucking GPS he’s been to the house probably 30 or 40 times to cause problems with these people now they’re wind up dead who’s going to be next everybody in the celebrity list is gone who’s the next one that the law enforcement is going to take out because hell they got to bring the brutality to the streets before they can figure out to get an education for the law.

Then he has the audacity to tell me on public sidewalks that I can’t have access to the public sidewalk and I have to move on down the road because of his intimidation and his brutality right. Denny’s going to go get four or five other people and bring them back to the same facility so he can get a trespassing warrant and some God unknown name that he couldn’t figure out whose name it was right.
Here I’m sitting over here on Wilshire boulevard and I’m watching the cops come up in it harass people put them in a handcuffs because they’re sitting on a public sidewalk trying to get them for trespassing and everything else for being on a public sidewalk in front of a restaurant or something makes no sense because they seem like they’re homeless so let’s go and fuck with them anyway right then I see a car parked on the side of the road a traffic controllers got it drive up to the car and ask the guy what he’s doing who matters what he’s doing he’s on the side of the road part. But how you got every monkey in the world thinking of the fucking president of the United States and they have to run the world that way cuz the hatred greed and corruption leads the way everyday for stupidity arrogance and unintelligent
My question is what are you allowed to private to run around the streets with no control no oversight nothing at all.

Why you keep trying to enforce the public to believe that your trespassing them because they’re on public land a public sidewalk a public business like McDonald’s and stuff like that you got to run inside of these places and think you’re the god of the world because hell you’re incompetent to fucking leave the discrimination at the fucking door when you came to work.
