Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department homicide detectives Friday are investigating the shooting death of a woman in the unincorporated Westmont area
Deputies responded at 8:53 p.m. Thursday to the 1200 block W. 87th Street, west of Budlong Avenue, where they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds, said LASD homicide Lt. Steven De Jong.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
