Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detectives Thursday are seeking the public’s help in locating a 65-year-old woman last seen in Compton and who authorities say suffers from dementia and high blood pressure.
Monnette Barnes was last seen Wednesday at 3 p.m. on the 400 block of South Essey Avenue between Laurel and Myrrh streets, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
Barnes is Black, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt and a gold necklace with her name on the pendant.
Authorities believe Barnes may be traveling in her 2010 black Mercedes-Benz E350 with California license plate number 7UWS516.
