A 23-year-old pedestrian who was struck and left dead by a driver who left the scene in Eagle Rock was identified by county authorities Thursday.
Police said the victim, Brandon Duplessis, was struck at about 5:05 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Colorado Street and Broadway.
Video from the scene showed a white pop-up tent on the street covering Duplessis’ body. Duplessis was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.
Duplessis’ cause of death was blunt force head trauma.
An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division said a description of the vehicle was not immediately available.
