A 76-year-old woman who went missing in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles has been found safe, prompting authorities to cancel a Silver Alert issued earlier this week, authorities announced Thursday.
Jean Cross was last seen around 11 a.m. Tuesday near South Harcourt Avenue and West 21st Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
CHP officials stated that Cross has since been located, but provided no additional details about when or where she was found.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled, or cognitively impaired individuals.
