A 65-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision in Placentia Thursday.

Officers responded near Orangethorpe Avenue and Jefferson Street at approximately 2:40 p.m. Thursday regarding a collision involving two vehicles and a motorcycle, according to the Placentia Police Department.

The motorcyclist was immediately rendered medical aid by the responding officers, including CPR, until the arrival of Placentia Fire and Life Safety personnel, who performed additional life-saving measures, then took the man to a hospital, where he later died, police said.

The other drivers involved in the collision were also taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Placentia Police Department’s Traffic Bureau. Anyone with additional information was urged to call the bureau at 714-993-8157.
