Firefighters Saturday knocked down a fire at a single-story triplex in the Hyde Park community of South Los Angeles, authorities said.
Paramedics at the scene were assessing a 94-year-old woman for smoke inhalation, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters dispatched at 7:02 a.m. to 6531 S. Brynhurst Ave. had the fire out within 13 minutes of their arrival.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
