A Silver Alert was activated Tuesday on behalf of an at-risk 72-year-old man last seen at Los Angeles International Airport.
Bashir Hamid was last seen on Sunday at approximately 4 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Hamid was described as a 5-foot-11-inch-tall man weighing 185 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black cap, jacket, a blue plaid shirt, black pants and shoes.
Anyone with information regarding Hamid’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled, or cognitively impaired individuals.
