A man was fatally shot in Pacoima Tuesday.
Officers from the Foothill Community Police Station responded around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday to the 11900 block of Foothill Boulevard, near Terra Bella Street, to reports regarding an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived at the location a short time later and took the man with a gunshot wound to a hospital, where he later died.
The victim was standing outside of a recreational vehicle moments before the suspect emerged from a separate vehicle, approached the man, and shot him before fleeing in a getaway car, police said.
His name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
The motive for the shooting was not determined, and the suspect was only described as a man.
