A 60-year-old pedestrian killed in a wrong-way hit-and-run crash in West Los Angeles was identified Wednesday.
A vehicle traveling south in northbound lanes of Bundy Drive, south of Pico Boulevard, struck a man as he stood in the roadway along the curb at about 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene in the 2400 block of South Bundy Drive, a department spokeswoman said.
He was identified Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Francis Shim, who sustained multiple blunt force traumatic injuries.
The vehicle did not remain at the scene, police said. No description of the vehicle or the driver was provided.
The LAPD’s West Traffic Division is investigating the fatal hit-and-run.
