A young man was stabbed in Hollywood early Wednesday morning and three suspects were on the loose.
Officers responded at about 3:45 a.m. Wednesday to the 1200 block of Cherokee Avenue, northeast of Santa Monica Boulevard and Highland Avenue, to a report of a cutting or stabbing and located the victim, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The man, believed to be in his mid-20s, was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
A fire department official said he was in serious but not critical condition.
Three suspects, two men in their 30s and a woman in her 20s, were seen heading west on Fountain Avenue from Cherokee in a newer-model gray Honda Civic with no license plates, police said.
The weapon was not located, according to the LAPD.
