The driver responsible for a hit-and-run accident that left two juveniles with serious injuries in Calimesa remained at large Saturday, authorities said.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 1100 block of Calimesa Boulevard around 3:30 p.m. Thursday to a report of a hit-and-run crash.
Responding deputies located two boys suffering serious injuries. The boys were rushed to a hospital where they were listed with stable vital signs.
The driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle were allegedly seen fleeing the vehicle after the crash. An extensive search was conducted with assistance from the Riverside Sheriff’s Aviation and K9 Units, but the suspects were not located.
