A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle in Jurupa Valley Wednesday.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Jurupa Valley Station responded on Wednesday near Armstrong Road and 30th Street at approximately 4:50 p.m. to reports regarding a severe collision, according to sheriff’s officials.

The motorcyclist was discovered by deputies lying in the northbound lanes of Armstrong Road, north of 30th Street.

Sheriff’s officials said that both the motorcyclist and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to a hospital following the collision, where the motorcyclist later died as a result of his injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team personnel.

Deputies stated that it does not appear alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision, and that the driver of the other vehicle remained cooperative during the investigation.

The name of the motorcyclist was being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Following the collision, Armstrong Road between Sierra Avenue and 34th Street was temporarily closed as investigators processed and collected evidence from the scene.
