The California Highway Patrol Thursday was investigating a fatal crash in Pearblossom that killed a motorcyclist in his 50s who was ejected from his bike.

The crash was reported at 1:57 p.m. on Pearblossom Highway, near 141st Street East, where California Highway Patrol officers found the victim, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.

The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:03 p.m. by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.

It was not immediately clear if the case is a hit-and-run or if another involved vehicle stopped as required.
