Officials with the Lanterman Regional Center Friday sought public help in locating a 36-year-old woman missing since Wednesday, when she was seen in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
Araksi Dagesyan, who is considered at risk of hospitalization due to untreated respiratory issues and psychiatric symptoms, was last spotted carrying a stuffed backpack and duffel bag and pulling a wheeled suitcase near the intersection of Manchester Avenue and Broadway.
Officials say she “walks around without any support,” has a social, talkative personality and will approach strangers. She carries a photo of her ID and might have a couple of out-of-service cell phones. She is generally peaceful, but can become agitated if someone makes her feel unsafe.
Dagesyan is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, with broad shoulders. She weighs 266 pounds, has brown hair with blonde highlights and brown eyes. She has tattoos on the shoulder areas of both arms and one on the left that reads, “Miguel Angel.” She prefers to be barefoot. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, pink pants and black sandals.
Anyone who knows her whereabouts was urged to call 911 or the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Station at 323-786-5077.
