Two at-risk children reported missing in South Los Angeles have been found, authorities announced Monday, leading to the cancellation of an Endangered Missing Advisory.

The children — identified as 11-year-old Juaquin Vides Jr. and 8-year-old Aastha Vides — had last been seen about 6 p.m. July 29 with 34-year-old Juaquin Vides, whom investigators described as a person of interest, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Both children have since been located, but no details were released about when or where they were found.

It remains unclear if Vides was taken into custody. He was believed to be driving a white 2006 Ford Focus with California license plate 5TKY688.

Authorities did not disclose the relationship between the children and Vides.

The Endangered Missing Advisory is an alert designated for the suspicious disappearance of at-risk endangered individuals.
