A 33-year-old man who was killed in a fatal hit and run collision in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of South Los Angeles was identified by county authorities Thursday.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified Marcos Antunez Dominguez as the victim.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 9:57 p.m. Monday to the intersection of 74th and Figueroa Streets, and west of the Harbor (110) Freeway, regarding a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
Officers at the scene reported the vehicle struck Dominguez outside of a crosswalk and the driver did not stop to assist him.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene, where they pronounced Dominguez dead.
There was no vehicle or suspect information.
